To be Certified Organic, 100% of a product’s ingredients must be organic. While Super Greens does contain all organic vegetables, the 5 billion CFU probiotics are not organic. This is not because we chose non-organic probiotics, but simply because probiotics can not be considered organic or inorganic. Because they are live organisms, there are no government regulations to certify a probiotic as organic.

At Live it Up, we’ve weighed the pros and cons. We want our customers to enjoy the benefits of 5 billion CFU probiotics from four different strains as part of their greens powder. We also want our customers to enjoy vegetables and superfoods that are free of pesticides and herbicides. Therefore, we decided to include the probiotics in Super Green, even if it meant we could not call our product “Certified Organic”.
